Well this week saw another social media challenge go viral faster than the government shutting down a kid’s lemonade stand. This time it was the #faceappachallenge with the #FaceApp phone app. This week I discuss the privacy and security concerns that are associated with this app specifically. Also looking forward to the CyberTech Midwest Conference this week, July 24-25. The show is an official media partner of the conference. Will be out and about the conference seeing who I can talk to.

This week I follow up on the Iran cybersecurity conflict and how this could affect us. A big shout out to Rob Kendall of the Rob Kendall Show on WIBC for having me on his show this week to discuss cybersecurity and the CyberTech Midwest Conference. And we finish up the show with a little fun talking about the 400,000 people planning on storming Area 51 in Nevada.

Could we be on the brink of another war? The end of last week saw tempers flare and tensions reach a potential breaking point with the new that Iran shot down a U.S Global Hawk surveillance drone in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S was close to countering with an airstrike but was called off at the last minute. One new source said there was a U.S cyber response in retaliation to the drone being shot down.

This week I got into the deep in of the thought pool. Because over the last few months, I have been working through this topic of cyber philosophy. I have been thinking hard on what it means for the world and specifically what it means to me. I tie this topic into an article from the Hill.com as an example of the real world implications of what a cyber philosophy would address.

After a couple weeks of being gone to take care of some personal stuff,  we are back baby! This week I discuss the insane choice by FireEye to pick Hillary Clinton as the Keynote speaker for their 2019 Cyber Defense Summit.

This week I get into a little bit about IndyCar, it is May after all. There are some things going on within IndyCar that are worth discussing and relate directly to the principles of this show. I also have some big news about some big changes in my professional life.

This week I discuss a little bit about the Hancock Regional Hospital ransomware attack that was featured on CBS's 60 Minutes and rap up talking about the kinetic strike in retaliation of a Hamas cyber-attack.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been pondering about how our Constitutional rights fit in the construct of this digital age. This week's show I discuss these thoughts out loud for the first time. My thoughts are still a little raw and need to be worked through some more. I felt like it was a good time to speak them out loud to see what made sense and what was just a bunch of hot air. I do think I am on something that can be turned into a very core principle for at least how I view our legal system in this brave new cyber world.

This week I bring you my three interviews from day 2 of the CERIAS Security Symposium. The first interview is with Joel Rasmus the Managing Director of CERIAS. Second, I speak with Mark Loepker of the National Cryptologic Foundation. Finally, I speak with the godfather of cybersecurity himself, Dr. Gene Spafford. This is a 100% jam packed episode! This week marks one year since the show launched. I rounded out the year recording at the 20th Annual CERIAS Security Symposium. This week’s episode I spend doing a bit of year in review and reflection at the beginning of the show. The highlight of this week’s show is my interview with Ray Rothrock the CEO of Red Seal and the opening Keynote for the 2019 CERIAS Security Symposium.
